Ready for 2027 EU Regulations

Battery Digital Passport
& Lifecycle Manager

An end-to-end Battery Digital Passport & Lifecycle Management platform for manufacturers, recyclers and second-life operators in the European market. A live lifecycle ledger that matures into a recycling manifest.

Regulatory Deadline

Are you manufacturing, exporting or recycling battery systems in the EU?

Under the EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542, Battery Digital Passports (DPP) will be mandatory from February 2027 for EV, industrial and LMT batteries.

Risks of Non-compliance
  • Delays in EU customs clearance
  • Lost contracts with European OEMs
  • Increased audit and documentation costs

Our Solutions

One passport. Three lives.

One platform that follows the battery from factory gate to furnace - and back into the next battery.

STAGE 01 · Compliance

Regulation-ready passports for every battery you ship

From 18 February 2027, no compliant Digital Passport means no EU customs clearance. Passoria generates a regulation-ready passport aligned with EU 2023/1542 for every EV, industrial and LMT battery - created once, verifiable everywhere, from the factory gate to the border checkpoint.

  • All 90+ mandatory regulatory data attributes, structured to the EU taxonomy
  • Unique Battery ID with a secure QR code on every pack
  • Role-based views: public sustainability facts, regulator compliance & sourcing audits, recycler disassembly & safety protocols
  • Supplier portal for Tier-3/4 material suppliers to upload environmental and labor-standard proofs
  • One-Click Audit portal for Notified Bodies (TÜV and peers) - significantly reduced audit time
18 February 2027 is the hard cutoff: without a compliant DPP, batteries cannot clear EU customs or be sold.

Clear customs, keep your EU OEM contracts, and cut audit and documentation costs.

STAGE 02 · Live Data

A live lifecycle ledger - not a birth certificate

Most passports are filled in once at the factory, then forgotten. The Regulation demands dynamic data - and so does the reuse-vs-recycle decision. Passoria connects your BMS and production systems so the passport stays as alive as the battery it describes.

  • BMS → Passport Bridge: an IoT connector pulling live State-of-Health straight from the battery, satisfying the "dynamic data" requirement
  • Cycle count and degradation tracking across the battery's entire service life
  • Fast integration with MES / ERP / production systems for continuously updated compliance data
  • End-of-Life Decision Engine: combines live SoH, chemistry and secondary-market pricing to answer reuse, repurpose, or recycle? - with an auditable rationale attached to the passport
  • Zero-Knowledge Vault: prove compliance claims (e.g. recycled cobalt %) without revealing the chemical recipe to competitors downstream
A battery with a verified, high-fidelity health history is worth 30% more on the secondary market.

Without live health data, the repurpose-vs-recycle decision defaults to the shredder. With it, every pack finds its highest-value second life.

STAGE 03 · Circularity

Turn every passport into a recycling manifest

Packs arrive at recycling facilities with no trustworthy record of chemistry, state of charge or disassembly hazards - so valuable packs get shredded blind into low-grade black mass. Passoria's passport matures into a recycling manifest: one scan at intake tells the facility exactly what it's holding and what it's worth.

  • Scan-to-manifest intake: disassembly sequence, hazmat flags and state-of-charge history in one scan - no more blind triage, no thermal-runaway surprises on the line
  • Expected material yield per pack: cobalt, lithium, nickel and copper by mass
  • Recycled-Content Chain of Custody: recovered material batches carry cryptographic passport-to-passport lineage from the shredded pack to the new cell
  • Audit-ready evidence for the 2031 recycled-content quotas (16% cobalt, 6% lithium, 6% nickel, 85% lead)
  • Recycled-content credits flow straight into the next passport's carbon footprint, quantifying the carbon case for recycled feedstock
The law has locked in the end-of-life wave: 50% of lithium must be recovered by 2027 and 80% by 2031; 95% of cobalt, copper, lead and nickel by 2031. Every one of those kilograms needs documentation.

Recyclers stop shredding blind, OEMs prove their recycled-content quotas, and every kilogram of recovered material arrives at its second life with its paperwork intact.
